Welcome to the website of Fanfare MK.
We are a registered charity based in the Saturday morning coffee shop and Milton Keynes Music centre.
We use the money we make through the shop and via donations to support young people in Milton Keynes to take part in music making.
We work closely with the Milton Keynes Music Service and the Milton Keynes Music Co-operative to try to make sure we are reaching the children who will benefit most from our help.
Currently we provide bursaries to children who take part (or would like to take part) in Music Centre Groups. These cover some of the fees for group participation and makes it easier to apply for additional help with music education costs.
We are also supporting the Music Taster Groups provided for WCET programme participants and are looking at additional potential support with items such as transport costs.
Next year we hope to run workshops in primary schools to widen the network of children who experience the joys of group music making.
Bursaries
If you find it a challenge to meet the costs of your child’s musical activities, please do consider applying for a bursary. Don’t assume you will not qualify and please don’t think you will be depriving others.
